I'm The Boss Program opened Jeremiah's mind to the fact that he can invent something and be his own boss at any age. He shared with excitement stories of how other young people are business owners and the history of other inventors. He came home everyday excited to share his day and what he learned. My concern when I registered Jeremiah (Walker) was if he would stay focused throughout the program. To my surprise he was not only focused but begin to talk about things he would like to invent. This week-long experience motivated Jeremiah (Marshall) in numerous ways. He was able to soak up lots of valuable information. Almost immediately he wanted to start a lemonade stand, sell candy, and have a yard sale to sell some of his gently used toys (just to name a few ideas he tossed around.) He also was eager to "pay for items" when our family went to different retail stores. Swipe the card, get the change back to count or help me find out good deals are some of the things Jeremiah volunteered to do. As parents, my husband and I both viewed the program as a success. Our son was very inspired by the hands on learning experience and looked for many ways to cultivate that learning everyday. When asked what he liked about the class, his response was "everything, I had a lot of fun with the teachers and other students".
